He feels it is extremely important to implement Six Sigma in manufacturing organizations. He says that there are many organizations which have saved billions of dollars with intangible benefit of customer satisfaction through Six Sigma. He says some organizations though do not meet the specified goal despite trying hard. In those cases, the feasibility of implementation of six sigma initiatives is questioned. He takes us through the possible reasons of failures of six sigma implementation in an organization. He feels lack of application and support from top management is the major reason of failures of six sigma implementation. He says for successful six sigma implementation, top down and bottom up approach is required. Couple of organizations that have implemented Six Sigma have failed.

Couple of organizations have introduced Six Sigma, but it failed due to lack of proper approach to six sigma implementation. These type of organizations, emphasise on experimentation, following processes and redefining goals to achieve customer satisfaction. He feels Six Sigma is a very good approach which would help retain customer loyalty. He says it would help financially to increase cash flow through additional revenue creation. He gives an example of inventory management for the same. He counts on operational benefit as another advantage of Six Sigma implementation. He says six sigma implementation is weighed across worldwide. He concludes that six sigma will be able to satisfy customers for a longer time.
