He is a project management professional who has completed his Six Sigma Black Belt certification. He is well conversant with L9000, CMMI and ISO:9000 quality standards.
As an initiative by TCS, he attended a Six Sigma belt workshop. As a part of this drive, he took up a project to reduce the defect density in his specific account. He developed release based software which was deployed and defects from the field were reported to him. He used techniques such as cause-effect diagrams, hypothesis testing, and control charts as a part of this project. He was successful in reducing the defect density by 30% which was much lower then what the client had asked for.
He is currently working in a multinational bank as Manager-Quality and Six Sigma. He has mentored several green belt projects like reduction of SLA for ticketing and development of automated workflows for ticketing in the absence of third party tools. In the former, he used DMAIC methodology and in the latter, he used DFSS methodology where he employed tools like quality function deployment, fishbone diagrams, and hypothesis testing
