Benchmark Business Student Challenge
Hello Karthik, [*]I have added a chat space to create some involvement. I have a feeling that students are not reading through. [*]I have created a trigger at 10:30 PM on 7th October that shall add all those who open the email to a new contact list called warm leads. This does not delete these contacts from their original lists. We can later send other campaigns to these people if needed. [*] We can also activate the option of removing these contacts from their original lists (just as they open the email). This shall help us to send new campaign to those lists who did not open at all. Please mention your views on the above.

Benchmark Business Student Challenge
I feel that approval criteria need to be changed. [*]If a candidate has B. Com or B. Sc or BBA background with 60% plus score and is doing MBA in a high fee MBA Institute and owns a laptop, (s)he should be approved. [*]Same for Enegineering Graduates.

Extra BB materials
Dear Moumita, I am unable to understand why extra material was sent when it was known that 26 participants are participating. 25 bags were already there at Chennai. Were there additional positives who did not turn up? Regards, VK

Kickapps
I have noted the comments made by you. In case we have come across an impasse, there are three thoughts crossing my mind. 1. Six Sigma India - use the groupsite at sixsigmaindia.groupsite.com with an open subgroup for each branch. Pluses - familiar interface with all features Minuses - same limitations as groupsites. 2. Let people join open forum and get impressed by the activity there. Pluses-no new platform to manage Minuses - student crowd on open forum. 3. Manage everything within pinpointe. This options means that we replace student forum with a series of emails. We provide enrolment form within bulkmail. Based on the specialisation that they choose in the inmail form, we move them to different lists that continue the specialisation specific autoresponders. We keep re-mailing (based on opened reports). People who enrol in the event move to another list. This list is used for further communication that tracks registration in green belt. This (white belt participants) list shall also be worked upon via salesforce. Pluses - no forum to be created or managed. Hyperlinks let people study open forum topics. Impressive mailers keep them informed. Minus- students might start joining open forum, but this seems inevitable. To me the third option seems good at this stage. We shall need to discuss more. The Visiting Faculty Success Factor
I should schedule 2hours on my own for Naukri exploration. I guess there is a chance of using powerpointe for the purpose of vf search and note making. If an intelligent sequence is created and lists are split progressively, it may work. If it does work, I can think about using it for MBB search as well. Hmmm Sent via Groupsite Mobile.

Vikrant Mhatre
Vikrant has shown special interest. I should not delay in getting back to him showing some concern about his business generation ability. In case a agrees to a variable package model, I may be able to work out something. Sent via Groupsite Mobile.

The new mailing solution
BIG question - what is the difference between opt-in subscribe (as in aweber) and force subscribe (as in pp). Will more messages get delivered in spam folder in absence of opt-in? Will the answer be different for gmail vs bss mail I'd? Sent via Groupsite Mobile.

The new mailing solution
I have done a trial with a 250 persons list. Pluses of PP 1. Better interface 2. Great reporting New ideas 1. There should be links in every message. 2. The first message should be very powerful. 3. Need to do a 50-50 test at at the same time using bss and gmail. Questions 1. What are the autoresponder or campaign features that pp has but aweber does not? 2. What about facebook and twitter integration that aweber has. 3. Are email templates and form options similar to aweber? Does it offer pop up forms etc. 4. 50-50 test with imported data aweber vs pp shall tell me about differences and similarities. Sent via Groupsite Mobile.

Santosh Bhosale
Santosh is unimpressive but is handling an important profile. [*]He conducts training in Singapore and India. [*]He mentioned that one corporate can keep you busy for 2 years. [*]He says that Black Belt in Singapore was priced at 2 lakhs. So a batch with 5 participants was as good as 30 in India. [*]Singapore participants were generally always nominated by companies. [*]He is keen about utilizing more of his potential. There is not much he is doing currently, it seems. [*]He talked about assessment being done by his company without charging - expenses basis. [*]Working on gain share basis was something that they have been doing. In DFSS cases, he mentioned an upper cap. 40 lakhs out of 4 crore cannot be given. [*]Their main activity in Singapore seems PMP. He says Six Sigma supports PMP by providing days. [*]The Singapore programs are 6 days GB and 10 days BB. [*]Each certification is provided only on project completion. [*]QTNT is flexible about requirements on projects. Practically flexible about each requirement. [*]This reminds me about Singapore Focus.

Vikrant Mhatre
[*]Vikrant has an interesting mix of Automotive Manufacturing, Telecom, BPO experience[*]He has experience of running a consulting division where he talked about three levels of programs [*]Lowest Level was a process mapping approach. He mentioned 10 out of 14 persons were working with this one. [*]Next level was a business solutions approach. This was about carrying out Six Sigma projects without training people much. [*]Highest Level where he says his company has not worked yet was the Deployment Approach. [*]He has been conducting GB programs and mentoring projects. Does not seem great for business development. However he seems suitable for delivery of mapping&consulting, and developing resources.

FRATERNITY as a subgroup of OPEN FORUM
Hello All, As the subgroups have become better, I am thinking of shifting the entire Fraternity Forum as a SUBGROUP of Open Forum. This shall help people in entering into both with a single sign on. We shall be able to approve memberships to subgroup in a similar way as before. This shall need some special effort in shifting members from fraternity to Open Forum (those who are not currently on both). The plus point shall be that there shall be bigger networking for everyone (and easier administration for us.) Do you see any particular negative aspects if we do this? Please type your remarks here. Regards, VK

Hafele India
Niladrri Bannerjea - Marketing and BD head - told me that there is a real complex situation in the company. The other two senior management people (who happen to be Husband and Wife) do not want changes in Sales processes (and also in others like inventory management). However, the MD Mr. Wolf (I hope the name is correctly understood by me) is pro-changes. The main issue is the company is targeting 175 Crore sales by 2011 and 500 Crore by 2015. It is difficult to get to these numbers without robust systems in place. Niladrri is ok with a pilot project concept. He is a guy who loves talking and wants to introduce me to Wolf with a sound plan. I promised Niladrri that I shall work on a workshop that engages all senior managers in activities and they shall reach to a logical conclusion. This plan, once endorsed by Niladrri has to be sold to MD. BTW, MD gets excited with business result possibilities big time. Mahipal- I met Mahipal begor and after the meeting. Being from BPO background, he is a big believer in processes and a senior marketing guy (enrolled in oct GB) was also there with him. Mahipal says that Husband Wife do not like Niladrri (a new comer) one bit. It will be great if Niladrri achieves something great with a pilot project (probably one on exhibition conversions or improving timesly deliveries of orders on available stock) If Niladrri excels, the HW time shall follow suit as they need success badly. The other option is to pick one assignment each in the three senior management (controlled) processes and make it work. Mahipal says he has already identified people who could carry out projects if supported from the top. The other complexity is that salesforce compensation has only 12 to 18 percent incentives. Mahipal feels that variable pay being limited leads to some people being lazy. If Wolf decides people comply. There needs to be a method to keep Wolf in the loop in the initial pilots. Niladrri felt that their is feasibility of workshop in October if all goes well. None of them felt that non compliance from dealers could be a roadblock. If we provide pricesses, they are likely to comply. I highlighted that there are terrific softwares for capturing VoC without major investments. I need to get in touch with Neeladrri with some draft plan. Sent via Groupsite Mobile.

Six Sigma project certification
Should we make it easy for people to complete projects? This is possible by [*]Not insisting on complex projects. [*]Letting people put easier assignments in DMAIC format so that they atleast practice the tools soon enough. [*]Not insisting on validation from seniors within company and going by whatever they say.

Categories on home page
In recent times, I have been thinking that we should provide links in OPEN FORUM home page (in the same way as isixsigma.com has done) If we plan to do this, what should the headings and subheadings be? Any ideas? Sent via Groupsite Mobile.

Examples Of Six Sigma Implementation In Finance And Banking
Vishwadeep Khatri replied to Vishwadeep Khatri's topic in Applicability in Services other than IT/ITESHello all, Mahi has given examples of Lean implementation. Process cycle efficiency and TAT are common focus areas in Lean implementation. If you have undergone a Lean Management Certification program you shall be familiar with these concepts. (Benchmark offers 2 day lean programs in various cities) Some queries relate to hypothesis testing in this string. Hypothesis testing is one of the most potent approaches in Six Sigma. One can use these tests using sample data for various purposes. 1. Finding whether our process conforms with standards or benchmarks of the industry. 2. Finding and verifying the root cause of a management problem. 3. Verifying whether there are significant changes in output when inputs are altered. (Benchmark Six Sigma Green Belt training provides inputs on usage of hyothesis tests in practical situation) Let me know if you have more questions.
