What will a process map for a step inside another process map be called?
Excellent question Syed. Many business excellence professionals have this query in their journey. The process and sub-process maps are basically different levels of process mapping. Sometimes, one needs to depict the process at a high level and sometimes one is interested in more details. It becomes difficult to capture all details in the same process map and hence we break it into separate process maps (and you may call them as sub-process maps ) You might want to check out the following link to get more insights into the various levels of process maps. https://www.benchmarksixsigma.com/forum/topic/35730-process-mapping/ Hope this helps!

What is the way out
It seems unrealistic that the R-sq value will be greater than 90% and still not have any variable as significant. Otherwise also, if there are no factors that are significant, you would need to collect data for more potential factors and then re-run the regression.

PEST Analysis
Very interesting examples from the respondents. The best answer to this question has been provided by Somnath Mukhopadhyay for extending PEST to PESTLE and using the same example through all the factors. Other must read answers are from Mohit Mittal and Darryl Collins (for doing the PEST analysis for Rwanda).

SQDC Board
SQDC is just one name for this visual management tool. It has a lot of synonyms like QDIP, SQDPG (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Growth), which is used at Dr Pepper Snapple Group and QCDSM (Quality, Customer, Delivery, Safety, and Morale) at Toyota. Darryl Collins has provided the best answer to this question. Shrikant's answer is also a must read for the variations of SQDC.

How to remember statistics
Very interesting question Deepak. Before I share some tips on how you can remember the concepts for a longer time, I would like to highlight that there is absolutely no need to remember everything specially in today's world where information is available at a click of a button. So even if you don't remember all the tests, it should be fine as long as you remember that there is some statistical method to solve for the problem. Now, coming to your question - 1. Practice on real life projects (but irony is we don't get projects easily) 2. Practice tools independently. Don't wait for the project, however, start applying tools to specific situations or data sets (this will be easier to do) 3. Visit our Forum and answer our 2 questions per week. These questions will keep you connected with the subject 4. Something that has helped me to remember the concepts for a longer time - pen down your understanding of the tools or even better try explaining the concepts to someone. You will only be able to explain if you understand the concepts Hope this helps!

Parkinson's Law
I enjoyed reviewing these answers. There are some very interesting examples (cooking, Diwali cleaning, game of cricket etc.) of work expanding to fill time and at the same time there are some innovative methods suggested to use it to improve team's productivity (explore your own method). While the question and hence the answers focus on improving team productivity, I would also like to highlight the drawback of Parkinson's Law where unrealistic deadlines are set for tasks (two sides of the same coin ) Sai Kotari's answer has been selected as the winner for providing multiple different ways of improving the team productivity.
