  4. Dear Mr. Sudhir, Thank you very much for your valuable inputs. This has been very useful to me. I would like to brief you up about the work that I am involved into, I work for an NGO where our organization runs MMU's (Mobile Medical Units) which go to villages that are far away from PHC's (Primary Health Care Centers) and provide service to ANC, PNC, and Chronic Patients. This program is a tie up with the state govt who supplies free medicines to the beneficiaries. Our employees do a normal check up to the patients and give required drugs to them which are sufficient until the next visit. The objective of this program is to monitor ANC and PNC death rate and try to reduce the same. We have a set up of Counter 1 - 6 which involves: Registration Height and Weight check up ANC / PNC Check up Lab Technician Chronic patient check up Pharmacist I would like to understand where and how could I incorporate the Service Quality Plan in such a set up so that I would ensure that my employees who are authorized for each counter are ensuring a defect free transaction. I have already done Time and Motion studies and CSAT surveys. Would appreciate some valuable inputs from you regarding the same. Also, any Doctors can please give their suggestions. FOLLOWING TOPIC PASTED FROM YAHOO GROUPS ORIGINATOR: Dr.Shameem Rizwana DATE: Wed Dec 10, 2008 Dear All, Ours is Insurance based company my (dept) company is dealing with Govt.Aarogya Sri Scheme for BPL families.We have GMS,SGMS,DGMS,AGMS,HEAD OF THE DEPT,COODINATORS,DISTRIC COORDINATORS,AREAMANAGERS,NET WORK HOSPITAL EXECUTIVES,DISTRIC MEDICAL OFFICERS AND MEDICAL OFFICERS around 3000 employees.From various network hospitals we get preauthorizations(patient related documents) we have to give approvals. We got contract from Govt.to run the scheme.Daily we get 600 preauthorizations. I can apply Six Sigma on how much time taking in clearing the preauthorizations ,also I would like to analyzing on financial aspects how I go about it.Plz can any body clarify where I can concentrate(Six Sigma Application) and how I start project. Once you identify several opportunities for improvement, you will need to compare them and select the best project using some sort of a project prioritization process. Some thoughts on projects in your field (in addition to the reduction in time to make pre-approval decisions) are: Improve accuracy of pre-approval decisions (quality metric) Reduce cost of making pre-approval decisions (number of people involved, time, paperwork). Improve customer satisfaction scores from clients Reduce cost of capital (inventory, accounts payable/receivable) Grow business accounts (get pre-approvals from others to generate economies of scale) SJ.
