I would just say that Six Sigma is relevant to everyone. The best thing about Six Sigma green belt training is that it shapes your mind in a manner which is enabled to look out for process improvements everywhere. So, even if you are not directly involved in a Six Sigma role, the training is beneficial.

I often come across folks who are not aware of Six Sigma or any of the other related fields and ask me to explain it to them. This really puts me in a fix. To solve this problem for myself as well as for anyone else who face a similar issue, I have written a small post. Hi Prince, I would suggest that you follow the following steps: Understand the complete process and develop an as-is process map Identify pain points. Identify the most critical pain points. Some tools for this exercise are (Fishbone Diagram, Pareto diagram) Identify attributes of the selected pain points. Collect data with regards to these attributes over a time period. Statistically analyze the data. Draw inferences and suggestions.

Hi all, Sorry for delaying this post. I completed my Six Sigma green belt project in a leading pharma and healthcare company. My project was based on productivity improvement and operational efficiency. I carried out the complete project using Six Sigma methodology and the results were great.

I might be able to help you with the case study. It would be great if you would pass on some more details.

I did my Six Sigma project for Green Belt certification in a leading Pharma company and personally feel that this is one industry which has a huge scope for Six Sigma implementation. Six Sigma knowledge would surely give you a very good edge.
