Both the quotes are correct. Data is definitely important to measure any improvement. This is more from Profit making organisation perspective. But in the house, our wife/mother cooks something better and tastier than before, the enjoyment got from this improved taste is not measurable.Similar to this there will be many instances where improvement is done but measurement is difficult/not feasible.

Hi, I am a Manufacturing Professional with over 15+years of experience and currently working as DGM-Manufcturing. I have worked mostly in traditional manufacturing environments which does not have much exposure to the latest concepts. Now, I have realised that, further advancement of my career can happen only if I learn and familiarise myself with advance concepts. Recently, I have attended the LSSGB training workshop in Ahmedabad (from 1st - 4th June'17) and will be attending the LSSBB training workshop in Bangalore.
