I am creating one training material on ANOVA ANOVA : to analyze two samples or more than two samples compare sample means , Null hypothesis : Ho : m1 =m2=m3=....mn Alternate hyposthesis : Ha : any one of the sample means is significantly different The above is one way ANOVA. Then what is two way ANOVA ? when samples have two distict categories . The ANOVA study is two way ANOVA. I am not very comfortable on this understanding. Looking for some coaching and some training material on ANOVA study. Not to confuse with ANOVA gage R&R study. parashuraman ramaswamy

Dear Pradeep: joining to answer your question .... The Z table ...is designed on logarthmic scale and it is coming from the equation on yeild. SDF = e - ( to the power of Defects per unit) SDF is probability of getting a defect free unit as first pass yeild. somehow , the scale is granular to e raised to minus six. This is the main reason for 1 million opprtunities projection. Technically speaking , one can attempt to granulate as error per 100 ( %) ; error per thousand opportunities or error per lakh opportunities. Parashuraman
