Dear Sir, I am one of the "alleged" victims of mathematics! Since the very beginning, I have dreaded math's hence I left it during my I.com. Math's caught up with me once again while I was doing my masters in Economics. Now, I am leading projects in Six Sigma ...with a little data driven approach , I normally use tools like VSM, VOC, brainstorming, FMEA etc.. I know I an excellent in stakeholder management, communication and driving projects ...however, I always know that there is something lacking ....I feel I need to face me fears ..... Hi , Some more Project ideas 1) Reduce errors due to incorrect Commission mapping. 2) Reduce Looping and rework between Medical Underwriting , and Policy Issuance Team 3) Reduce errors in Commission payments to Agents and Brokers. 4) Reduce variations in Call handling time for Contact Center 5) Reduce TAT for Knowledge Acquisition (KA) & Knowledge Transfer(KT) for Vendors. Hi Preeti, Your marks are just a reflection of your aptitude at that moment of time. I believe that with effort and time you can definately increase your knowledge and skills in Six Sigma. Six Sigma gave me a cutting egde over the rest of the candidates who had applied for the same position. All organizations are now-a-days, looking for that"extra",and six sigma takes you there. So please do not be apprehensive , just go ahead and all the Best !

Hi, Could you be more specific in your objective ? Reducting call rates sounds like you are working for a telecom based company ? If thats the case, reduction in call rates is a Business decision and measurement would then ,depend upon :- 1) Number of customers the company wants to pull in with this cut. 2) Revenue it aims at generating 3) Gestation period for Breakeven. I think , in this senario, you have more of a Measurement and analysis to be done, tather than Six Sigma. So Please specify the target that you have.

Can Process efficiency be measured without data ? A school of thought says yes- example by using a cross functional matrix, process flow digram, one can study the process flow and find out the LOOPING , HANDOVER's ,LENGTH of the process, number of Itirations etc... By doing this, one can bring about changes to the Process. But I feel that theses are objective factors. Unless we have concrete data, one cannot measure efficiencies from the AS IS stage to the TO BE stage. Please comment ?
