My friend works in Project Management - Telecom Domain with an IT firm. He is interested to know if he should go for a Six Sigma Certification or a PMP? Which one of the two will work the best in his domain and also in the long run.

My sister is working with an MNC in Management Information Systems process responsible for budgeting of projects and cost controlling etc, also indulged in procurement of parts in oil and gas division of the company. How is Six Sigma beneficial for her?

My cousin is working as a SME(Subject Matter Expert) in a BPO, how is Six Sigma useful for him?

My friend is working as a senior software engineer with HSBC in the IT department and alongside pursuing his MBA, he is very much interested in career growth through such methodologies, how will six sigma cater to his requirements?

I am working for the past 4 years in a small Telecom company as a software engineer, we have a small setup that usually works fine and since people are not so well versed with this term Six Sigma therefore not very appreciative to such initiatives even on our own, so i think i would be wasting my money if i do this certification atleast for now, rather ITIL, PMP and such courses could help me more which are directly in line with our kind of need, though personally i feel Six Sigma is really a wonderful methodology but somehow can not see the benefits coming in the near future if i do it now. What do you suggest?
