Only with the help of 5s and kaizen an organisation saved approximately 10% of its wastage. And this is not just an end but next year this figurebacame benchmark and the saving went up to 15 %. Thats great is lean.

very true as said by ms rithika Lean in all about discipline and habbit. It ensures that each and everyone is involved in the improvement tasks and not just management Lean is thus simpler than other concepts of improvement

i feel the key difference in that the lean involves people from all level and six sigma involve people only form certain area necessarily having understanding of statistical tools. For eg: with the help of 5s & kaizen an ITI guy can also bring some improvements in terms of cost saving, wastage prevention, time saving stc. But the same guy can't work on 7 QC tools to interprete the process output.
