How to increase capacitization

Featured Replies

Hi!

I am Sumeet working in BPO. I want to do Green Belt Project on capacitization. About the process we have achived the res/hr, Quality. So we have met our CTQ's. But as a process still the overall picture is unhappy because we are far away from meting the capacitization.  Things which are affecting rightnot to the process are late comings , more & more brefings.Late comings is a transport issue & we are working on it, unplanned leave are not much infact its very rare. about brefings & sharing updates we have coming up with fixed timing so that every one is off calls at the same time & we dont waste much on it. Right now our capacitization is somewhere about 40% i want to increase it by 100% so that by the end of this month we are close to 80% & by next month  we are at 100% or may be exceed it.

I need your help on making a project on it & few ideas to achive it.

Hi Sumeet,

Firstly fix the problems which you think are the major causes to decrease capacitization. After that if you come across a situation where you don't see any problem and still your capacititization is below 80 or 70 % which ever is your benchmark, that will be the right time to start a six sigma project. Then you can start working with six sigma tools.

Sujeet Singh
