Can any one give me an idea about training on six sigma.I had worked in sw company for more than 2 yrs in development field as a Developer and recently joined another sw comp into support side on a supply chain product...will six sigma training helps me in developing my skills and ides of viewing a particular product....

Though your basic at IBM Daksh must surely have been a value addition, but such in-house sessions are often customised for that particular organisation. Secondly, the level of such courses is usually similar to Yellow Belt (covering a preliminary introduction Six Sigma basics). If you want to further develop a realistic and application based knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies like Fishbone analysis, Design of Experiments, FMEA, CP and CPK, I strongly recommend you a Six Sigma Green Belt Training. Becoming Six Sigma Green belt is probably 1st step. It can help in job like yours only if your Boss/owner has open mind and is ready to accept .

My experience as consultant for short time, to such Developers was not very encouraging.
