Master/Standards Not Available

Dear Team,

Good Afternoon...!!!
 

In case if we come across a project wherein development is desired out of a process...
And we have no standards or baselines to adhere to or compare with.

The challenge is to attain excellence for the process however there is no reference, for such an instance what is expected out of us?
Is it:

a) Focus on making things Leaner with existing mechanism/process?
b) Work around and formulate the SLAs/Standards/Masters to come to an evaluative measurement phase?

P.S. Limited Time Frame.

Basis the brief provided, I would recommend go with point 1. Objective would be to make the process better as compared to the present condition.

 

SLA determination will happen subsequently.
