May 19, 201313 yr We all agree to the fact that Six Sigma is powerful and it improves the processes drastically. Having agreed its impact, why is six sigma not deployed in most companies that effectively. (I agree that they do implement six sigma., but not very aggressively ) Is it because of its high cost? is it because it takes a lot of time and effort to improve the process? Is it because it has not given actual process improvement? please share your views...
January 10, 20206 yr Every Business has got points to Improve on. It is not lack of Cost , Time is not a factor, The main reason is Indian Business man has not got the importance of Six sigma, It is awareness, When i tried finding out the reason when speaking to different industrial association in and around Mumbai, Awareness is not there . In India, the situation is similar to Japan in 70"s. Lot of Scope and Lot of Business opportunity by implementing Six Sigma. Someone can become Father of Six sigma in India , If someone can Properly Plan and implement the idea
January 10, 20242 yr Honestly, I've seen both ends of good and bad deployment of LSS. Culture is what makes or breaks it! If Leadership understands the impact, they empower LSS skills & projects. It's tough for the deployment to be effective when Leaders do not support the methodology. Reasons for failure: Leadership lacks awareness of the potential of LSS and when to use it. Lean deployment leaders set unreasonable expectations or do not understand how to build a strong foundation for LSS in the organization. Process maturity also affects the effectiveness of LSS. Low maturity should aim for lean & standard work, while high maturity can aim for LSS.
