Wow ! A very nice read.. There have been many case studies on Southwest Airlines which are floating in various B school curriculum and competitions. The best takeaways for me are :


 


1. QFD philosophy


2. Understanding VOC


3. "Bags fly free" concept


4.  Low turn around time.


 


And many more.


 


Indigo airlines works on the similar model and is the only profit making airline in the country :)
