Time Spent In Removing Mrp Labels And Pasting New Ones

Featured Replies

Dear Friends,

I am working on a Project to Increase the Day to Day effciency of Dispatch Process at Warehouse. When did the RCA, we found that most of the time people were spending time Removing Labels from individual product given by the supplier and then add our Labels with new MRP.

We thought of asking the supplier to provide the product with exact MRP price lable however my company changes the price every 6 months and supplier lead time is 3 months on a average to ship a product.

Hence we always order in advance and then change labels in warehouse, now this process needs to be eliminated cause it is taking up a lot of resources and time.

The objective is not to reduce the staff but to decrease the time taken to do the exercise. Would appreciate all suggestions and improvements ideas.

Regards,

Mahipal

Two ideas from my side.

  • Is there a method by which price can be stamped (in your premises) while the label without price is provided by supplier? Stamping may be faster than complete label removal and affixing activity.
  • Supplier lead time to ship a product is 3 months. Is it possible that supplier be communicated the label details just a week before dispatch from supplier end?

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
