In India we have Opt-In process. You may choose to be a donor. Would like to comment on Mr. Arvind's statement that "we send them to the Government Hospital knowing fully well it is Death Sentence for the victim to do so". I would like to inform everyone that we have a legislation which states "no Hospital (Private or public entity) should deny First Aid, Resuscitation in case of life thretening situation. If one receives the patient they should give proper treatment / resuscitate to save life and ask for further consent to the family. They should not deny this first step at any cost. Its a social obligation of every Hospital being in India. Friends please spread this word to everyone so that they may be helping hand in saving a life. Also I would like to support the statement of Mr. Arving on his point that "We have to radically change our way of thinking". Yes we need to support and motivate friends and family to opt for organ donation.
