Could Some One Brief Over Six Sigma
Hi Charles, Six sigma is a systematic approach to solve the problem and acheive 3.4 ppm rejection level. DMAIC methodology is used to solve the problem. D-Define M- Measure A- Analysis I-Improve C- Contyrol. Let me explain through a example. We go to doctor first what do he do, he define the problem (this is problem statement). Then he measure the problem to know the depth of the problem. After knowing the depth he do analysis through tests to find out the root cause of the problem because there can be many reason for fever but here aim is to find out the root cause( Real cause). When he knows the root cause he gives medicines to eliminate the root cause. When the problem is solved then there is need of control to find out the assignable causes. Six sigma methodology work in same way, there are many tools for defining ,measuring ,analyzing, and monitoring.hypothesis testing and DOE,control charts which are used in six sigma methodology. With kind regards

Hypothesis Testing
Hi RAVI, I have done t test for your data.as given below.P value is less than .05 this mean you are 95% confident that your mean is not equal to target mean. Your null hypothesis is rejected and alternate hypothesis is accepted. One-Sample T:mean Test of mu = 85 vs mu not = 85 Variable N Mean StDev SE Mean C1 3 75.333 0.577 0.333 Variable 95.0% CI T P C1 ( 73.899, 76.768) -29.00 0.001 With regards

Hypothesis Testing
Hello Ravi, Let me explain you.Suppose I am a supplir of cement and i supply 100 bags of the cement and i say that i am 95% confident that my average weight is 100 kg.Now you want to test whether supplier is right or wrong.Your null hypothesi will be weight = 100 kgs, alternate hypothesis will be weight is not equal to 100 kg.Now you can do t test for mean In your case i am not clear whether you want to test mean or the variance. Pls explain. With regards

Hypothesis Testing
Hello Ravi, I am Munesh, If you want to apply hypothesis testing first you complete your analysis. You have got pssoble causes through brain storming now you do varification of the possible causes to find out the probable causes. Do validation of the probable causes to find out the root cause. Take counter measure to eliminate the root cause. Now you can apply hypothesis testing to check whether improvement is by chance or it is real. With regards
