TRIZ
pulsingh.vadithe replied to Vishwadeep Khatri's topic in We ask and you answer! The best answer wins!TRIZ is the theory of inventive problem solving approach. contradictions are two types one is administrative and technical contradictions. administrative contradictions means physical contradiction technical contradiction has if -then- but concept in a problem statement. Example: if umbrella is small, then it is easy to carry but it does not protect rain. Around we have 40 Triz principles and in which covered all dynamics and category of materials and properties and environment etc. Few Triz principles are here: 1. Division 2. Take out 3. local quality 4. asymmetry 5. Merging 6.Universality 7. embeded structures 8. Anti weight 9. preliminary anti action 10. Equipotentiality In Triz concept will need to follow the sequence to create the solution. First we need to frame the practical problem then generate ideality then prepare contradictions then we need to search properties from engineering parameters then interlink with Triz principles then validate the ideas then build the solution. The main challenges in TRIZ concept is generating the ideas and build solution for problems.

Filter Bubble
pulsingh.vadithe replied to Vishwadeep Khatri's topic in We ask and you answer! The best answer wins!Filter Bubble is the concept of algorithm representation which will be totally biased. filter bubble will change the perspective of an individual in a situation what ever they see or hear that supports his previous belief or interest. Example: In many of the pharma organizations there will be manpower cutoffs which is not actually the manpower reduction but reduction of non value added overhead reduction might be in top management or middle management. but in social media it is spread that there is a huge manpower reduction pharma industry and is organization is in huge losses and there is a high recession. it will result to drop in organization images and creates the fear in existing employees and impacts on the new recruitments of a particular organization. Impact on business world: When an regulatory audit conducted for an organization and out come of an audit will be posted in website. if the out come of an audit has any minor observation, it will be spread like the organization has failed to face the audit. The social media will not mention detail information or will not focus an actual information, which may change the perspective view of individual whenever watching the news in website or social media.Based on the information which is available in website will leads to negative image of organization and led down the share value of certain organizations. This would be the one of the adverse effects of the filter bubble.

Reporting Bias
pulsingh.vadithe replied to Vishwadeep Khatri's topic in We ask and you answer! The best answer wins!Bias is the incorrect information or data than the true information or data. if the information or data is incorrect which will result to lead the wrong conclusions and decisions. Reporting bias is a nothing but hiding of information than actual conditions. for example: before joining any organization medical checkup is mandatory in now a days and will follow the same . while medical investigation doctor will ask few questions like for smoking and drinking but patient will not tell actuals and will hide the actual information. Types of reporting Bias: there are seven types of reporting biases. 1. publication bias : during the R&D studies, will conduct so many trials to develop the product but in majority of cases will not research more on the negative studies and will not report the negatives and will not perform the investigation for negative impacts and only they will mention the positives only. 2.time log bias: time taken for research and trails testing will not mention accurate for the product development . stability studies data will not include in the product launch. they will consider the time for lunching is trials to manufacturing. 3.multiple publication bias; by changing small content in process, filing the dmf for process. 4.location bias 5.citation bias 6.laungage bias 7.knowledge reporting bias

Monte Carlo Simulation
pulsingh.vadithe replied to Vishwadeep Khatri's topic in We ask and you answer! The best answer wins!Monte carlo simulation is used to know the forecasting/ risk due to delays (which are unpredictable in actual schedules or standard cycle times) of the project or activity by making data iterations. let us consider batch manufacturing cycle time example: operation 1: 8-10 hrs operation 2: 12-14 hrs operation 3: 25-28 hrs. operation 4: 14-18 hrs. To complete the batch manufacturing and to achieve the output we need to add all four operations i.e 1+2+3+4 operations. min hrs max hrs Average 8 10 9 12 14 13 25 28 26.5 14 18 16 59 70 64.5 based on the above data, we can complete the batch in 59 hrs as best case and worst case is 70 hrs and an average performance 64.5 hrs. by reducing the cycle time at operation 3 at half of the time by dividing the operation in to sub , batch cycle times will be differed and output/ day will increased. OPERATION min hrs max hrs Average(hrs) 1 9 10 9.5 2 12 14 13 3 14 18 16 4 14 18 16 total 49 60 54.5 min max average 8 10 9 12 14 13 25 35 30 14 18 16 59 77 68 Based on the above iterations, cycle time reduction at operation no3 will result to improve the Batch output/ day. Based on the above iterations, increase in cycle time in operation No 3 will have the impact on batch output/ day. such that by using Monte Carlo simulation, we can perform the 12 iterations with different scenarios and we can estimate the risk in daily production run rates.
