  1. Design thinking mainly uses of divergent thinking and convergent thinking for problem solution and idea generation. Divergent thinking refers to a strategy to generate proposal for multiples possible solutions in attempt to identify that one can work.It is possible only when multiple ideas are evaluated. Brainstorming and free flow writing are two processes that involves divergent thinking. Making list of questions, mapping out a subject, artwork creation are some of examples of divergent thinking. Convergent thinking refers to technique for problem solving in which different ideas from different peoples bringing together to identify a single best solution against a defined problem. Multiple choice questions, pattern identification, Quizzes are some of examples of convergent thinking.

  4. In an idle conditions every organization aims to get 100% OEE but in practical scenario its not possible to get 100% OEE. OEE consist of mainly three components which are Availability, Performance and Quality. To get 100% OEE you required 100% of availability, 100% of Performance and 100% of Quality means good products / services. In practical scenario When you design any product , you have some standard design waste during creation of product which you cant omit. Further during actual execution of product you might get some of the wastage's which you cant ignore it. So you never get 100% Quality product. In case of availability , It depends on your run time, down time & preventive maintenance of machine. Any machine required Preventive maintenance which you can not ignore to sustain your machines performance good and increase the life. So you can not able to achieve 100% availability. In case of Performance May be you run your machine with full standard speed but for prevention you have to do machine PM then also some times its gives breakdown which is impacting on machine run speed & many times machine ramp up speed also impact on your performance. So you cant able to achieve 100% performance.
  5. Visual factory is a very powerful concept through which we can demonstrate the message which required to visualize everyone in the organization. We can demonstrate information in visual boards like safety parameters trend, Maintenance schedule, Performance of product through Quality-cost & delivery, Shift leader details, Daily production report, SOP's & Work instructions, Production schedules etc. Some of the common tools used for Visual factory are charts, graphs, signs, labels, shadow boards, info graphics, indicator lights, check sheets etc.

It is mainly impacting on customer of eCommerce company where base on browsing history it shows contents to users for procurement which will impact on other competitors product. Based on your search history it will decide to show a content by default & not what you would like to see on internet.

Analysis paralysis will be used to prescribe the path affects the workplace productivity but sometimes due to complicated problem and overthinking of a situation leads to no solution definition or course of action defined while Extinct by Instinct reflects wrong or poor decisions taken based on incomplete interpretation of available data. Many times corporate follows Analysis paralysis where just simple solution has to be applied to solve the problem but in place of that overthinking of a situation not leads to proper solution. while in case of Extinct by instinct corporate many times made a decision which is not data driven or fact based which leads to fatal decision based on judgement. Both should be avoided in corporate as both can leads to wrong solution of a problem as stated above.
  8. Reporting bias means any analysis outcome achieved based on any fractional data or bias data which will give you wrong data interpretation and leads to inappropriate decisions. Below are different types of bias reporting. 1> Outliers - Which will leads to wrong data interpretation. Outliers need to be separate it out from other data points & analyze the root cause to overcome it during analysis. 2> Confirmation - This leads to wrong data interpretation due to proving of something historical is right. To avoid this type of Bias need to take consent of other people to finalize data interpretation and decision. 3> Selection bias - This leads to wrong outcome if sample selection is bias. To avoid this we need to follow proper sampling method during data collection. 4> Confounding bias - This leads to again wrong data interpretation & outcome due to influence of dependent and independent variables.To avoid this samples should be selected randomized.
  9. Monte Carlo simulation is used for problem solving technique for identifying proximity the probability of outcomes by running multiple trails through random sampling. It generates possible outcomes of your decisions and assesses the impact of risk and allowing better decision making under uncertainty. In Monte Carlo simulation model is built using the simulation in which we assign the assumption variable through wide range of possible value, also define the decision variable with wide range of possible value and see the impact on forecast variable through running of simulation with probability distribution at any point with certainty % value to success it.Also through Optimizer we can minimize the risk through identify factors value of assumption variable and decision variable. Sensitivity chart is another main feature of Monte Carlo simulation for risk assessment where we can identify impact of different assumption variable on forecast value which help to minimize risk. Below are some examples through which we can identify & mitigate risk through mote Carlo simulation. 1> Selection of projects from multiple project list having limitation on investment & will provide maximum project savings. 2> Selection of correct product CTQ's from multiple product dimensions 3> Identify Critical activities in executing project to mitigate or reduce project delay risk.
