March 25, 200917 yr Is Lean Six Sigma (Amalgamation of Lean Management and Six Sigma) better than taking up each course individually and in which case are the future prospects brighter than the other.
March 25, 200917 yr Our Six Sigma course is actually Lean and Six Sigma amalgamation. It covers lean concepts (VA/NVA analysis) at Green Belt and Black Belt level. We call it Six Sigma because our accreditation board (RABQSA) decided to call it so. However for deep dive into lean we have another course which is called Lean Management Certification which can be taken additionally. So several people have gone for our GB + lean and there are few others who have gone through GB + BB + lean. You can rest assured that the key concepts of lean do get covered in GB + BB as well .
March 26, 200917 yr Yes, most of the problem solving tools used in Lean are well covered in GB/BB except few approaches taken from TPS like KANBAN, Hijunka, JIT etc etc.The main difference is in implementation as Lean as a concept is more on Thinking called "Lean Thinking" which is nothing else but the culture developed through out the organisation.
