US chipmaker Analog Devices is nearing a deal to buy AI chip firm Empower Semiconductor. The acquisition is reportedly valued at around $1.5 billion. Empower Semiconductor makes power management chips for AI processors and data centres. This move comes amid strong investment in data centre infrastructure for generative AI.
