Two US federal judges admitted their staff improperly used AI tools, including ChatGPT and Perplexity, to draft recent court orders that contained serious errors. Judges Henry Wingate and Julien Xavier Neals said the rulings bypassed normal review, have been corrected, and new AI policies were implemented after Senator Chuck Grassley’s inquiry.
