Can we attain 6 Sigma level in any process without using known philosophies/approach like DMAIC, DMADV, Lean, 5S etc. ??

Yes, it is possible to reach Six Sigma performance or even better with common sense approaches like mistake proofing. OTIS reached such levels in 1853. Dabbawalla's did this in recent times. None of them used DMAIC/DMADV/Lean/5S

Yes you can but that will be inventing wheel on HOW TO DO IT?

The tools and not madetary to be six sigma but they helps you ensure that you do all right things when you want to have 6 sigma process.

Companies who have reached zero defects in some process using trial and error have spent considerable time and effort reaching there. Dabbawalla is a 150 year old organization with small margins and limited competition. 

 

If you wish to achieve great performance levels in limited time, it is better you use the tried and tested Lean Six Sigma methods and be ahead of competition.
