July 21, 201114 yr Dear All, I am just trying to figure out how to put both Lean & Six Sigma in one basket. Anybody, who is implementing both in a factory, can please share their experience. Thanks & Regards S.Vivek Anand
July 25, 201114 yr As you know lean is something about removing waste from the workplace and six sigma methodologies are all about eliminating process variation. There are two major cultural difference in implementing lean & six sigma together: Lean is a Japanese culture and Six Sigma is an American culture based on statistics. Enterprise lean sigma is the answer to your question. Through ELS you can improve visual control of your work place and find out the easy way to remove waste and using Six Sigma methodologies you can predict the process and can control that very well. For implementing the both you need to improve data capturing for sigma study and should start with standard work template. Regards, Pradeep Sharma
September 8, 201114 yr The culture difference is substantial. Problem complexity also has a role to play. It makes sense for continual improvement professionals to be equipped with both bodies of knowledge so that they choose the right weapon for the selected enemy.
