A Cabin Crew member in an Airline can be seen as an individual contributor or as a supervisor. 


As an individual contributor, a Cabin Crew member can benefit in the following ways. 

  • Building a preventive mindset - By understanding how various issues can be listed, quantified and prioritized for resolution.
  • A changed mindset about problem solving - By learning that problems can be and should be resolved permanently. (with an aim of zero recurrence)


A Cabin Crew member who aspires to become a supervisor or is already a supervisor has a lot more opportunity to apply Lean Six Sigma at the workplace. 

  • Learn how to collect meaningful data for decision making. 
  • Learn how to analyze data (this includes paseenger feedback data) numerically or graphically.
  • Learn and utilize a systematic problem solving sequence (DMAIC) along with other crew members. 
  • Carry out improvements along with ground staff or with catering services. 
  • Carry out multiple small improvements successfully. 
  • Indicate a wllingness and competece to be considered for a higher role within the organization or elsewhere.
