I am working in the retail organization right now. I have found out that in our stores the penetration of Staples has fallen drastically. I want to initiate a project in order to increase the penetration rate.

 

I have identified few key areas to start my project:

• Production rate at Our place that is Staples pack house.
• Supply vs demand.
• Availability at stores once the order is raised.
• Time is taken to transfer them to Distribution Center to Our stores.

Please help me out how can I proceed further into the project and present to our Manager.  If am wrong please correct me.

First of all i would suggest that you translate these expressions of problems into a measurable metric such as penetration rate, volume of production.

Then benchmark against Industry best to be project goal based on which we can kick it off...

Then create a team move on to measure
