About Me

Dr. P. Karan is the Founder & Managing Partner of KK Corporate Services and Chief Quality Officer in Sathya Kidney Centre & Superspeciality Hospitals in Hyderabad, India. He has over 13 years of experience in Hospitals, Lean Management, Consultancy projects, Quality Improvement projects, Training & development and Management Certifications. He has successfully completed real time 6 JCI Surveys, 143 NABH Assessments, 49 NABL Assessments and 162 Management System Audits at various Hospitals & health sectors.

He is an empanelled Assessor for Dialysis Accreditation standards in Quality & Accreditation Institute, Assessor in NABH, Assessor in Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) based on Baldridge framework and COSHH Risk Assessor in IACS (International Association for Chemical Safety). He is a Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 by CQI IRCA. He has also certified Business Excellence Master Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Exemplar Global. Further He is a certified Lean Guide, Lean Practitioner, Business Modeling Expert, Creativity & Innovation Practitioner, Business Value Analytics, Strategic RPA Practitioner, Business Analytics Foundation & Analytical Hierarchical Process Practitioner from the Benchmark Six Sigma (approved by Exemplar Global). He has won various awards & prestigious positions to his credit. Proud to be associated as Official Volunteer in the IHRC (International Human Rights Council), Volunteer in Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and Volunteer in Patient Safety Movement Foundation. He is associated with Qimpro Foundation & CAHO as an Examiner. Presently he is Telangana State Representative and Governing Council Member of CAHO. He has credentials like Certified Scrum Master by Scrum Alliance. He is presently associated as an empanelled Lead auditor in QMS, OH&SMS & EMS categories in the various Certification Bodies across India.

He is passionate about Patient Safety, Quality improvement initiatives and has a vision to help the Indian healthcare sector in upgrading the patient safety standards.  He has successfully completed the Patient Safety Certificate programme from John Hopkins Medicine conducted by Armstrong Institute of Patient Safety Institute. He has been awarded 'Patient Safety Hero' by John Hopkins Medicine. He has been also awarded as Chartered Quality Professional MCQI by the Chartered Quality Institute. He is a certified Mentor in the Chartered Quality Institute & IRCA. 

He is serving as Guest faculty in many Colleges and Universities for teaching programs in Quality Management, Hospital Operations & Leadership development.  He is a blended hospital  management professional by education, completed his graduation in Hospital Management from the MAKAUT University, did his master in MBA Hospital Administration from the Subharti University, MBA in Operations and Materials management from the NIBM and PG Diploma in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University. Completed his PhD (TQM) from the California Public University and also doing another PhD in Operations management from the Gitam University, India. Further He has completed Strategic Management and Operations Management certification from IIM Bangalore. He did Diploma in Quality Management and Certified Business Analytics and Intelligence by Amity University. He is happy to complete certification in Leadership & Management from the Harvard square.

Also delighted to receive his Fellowship from ISQua in the year 2019, South East Asia CoP, QI CoP member in ISQua and certified Faculty Development programme from Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). He is trained & certified professionals for Quality Implementation in Hospitals (Advance CPQIH & CPQIH), Certified professional for Hospital Infection control (CPHIC), National Disaster Life Support (NDLS) from CAHO and certified ACLS & BLS provider by Postgraduate Institute for Medicine. 

He is a member in many renowned International & National Organizations such as Individual Member of ISQua and Life member of Quality Council of India (QCI), Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organization (CAHO), Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA), Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Scrum Alliance & Rotary International.
