  1. Hi Man oriented process required the data pertaining to customer perspective rather than Product specifications since there will not be any high level product specification in these industries. Start defining the customer requirements and collect those data before despatch, this is the way of working from back doors to address customer problems first to build confidence to the customer and to the consultant company BR Viswa
  2. Hi During the design of the product, FOS (Factor of Safety) needs to be considered, in normal designer fix a FOS of 1.5 to 3 based on the thump rule. This is not applicable to all dimension and needs to be analyzed carefully. Usaullay, it is the practice that the critical dimension are mating part or any torque / pressure created on the part. When the product is designed for a particular application, engineers are more cautious and tolerance will be tight. Over a period of time, this will be over engineering and value engineering needs to be applied. this is a cycle of over engineering and value engineering. thanks
  3. Hi all Lean implementation is usually done by choosing one tool at a time and start implementing in one place and start another after some time. In my view this is not a correct approach We need to identify the bottle neck area and change that area in to Completed lean rather than implementing lean one by one
