  1. The idea proposed by Shri.Kisan Vasekar, REL, is highly admirable. I would like to invite all the Electrical Engineers particularly those asociated with Utilities to come together and support for Best practices in India. Looking forward to a good response. Regards.
  2. Power Sector has always been a key infrastructure, eventhough quality improvements, particularly in the field of operation and maintenance are yet to come on front in many organisations. I would like to congratulate Shri.Kishan Vasekar, REL and his team for their achievements. I am from POWERGRID and I have also started working in the area of improving the maintenance practices by integrating Six Sigma/Lean with ISO. It pays. Regards. M.M.Mehendale
  3. Lean is helpful to cut down the wastages. There is shortage power generated and for managing grid particularly during peaks, lean can be used. Also forecasting can be improved using six sigma. More areas can be covered using proper process mapping and leadership. Six Sigma can also help in improving maintenance practices of systems. Electricity becomming the most critical challange ot the age now because if not managed properly atleast now, it may start working anti social principles and its economy.
