Dear SJ, I agree with this but strongly feel that you should have supporting management / working environment. When your management is not yet convinced / not even willing to spend some time to understand six sigma benefits, how one should go ahead. For example, I have been trained as BB in August 08. Still I am finding it difficult to allocate dedicated time for doing six sigma project just because the bosses and management are not that much interested. Every time the priorities are different ( sometimes irrelevant also) & at one point I feel I am loosing my six sigma competency/knowledge. May be you can throw some ideas... Thanks Manik

I think use of better estimate techniques can help to arrive at good approximations in activity duration etc... Ultimately every project is unique in itself. I totally agree that six sigma can greatly help in fixing root causes of overshooting the schedules, efforts & budgets.

Dear SJ Thanks ! Some queries .... 1. Can it become six sigma GB/BB project ?? 2. I have gone through GB - DMADV process at GE and BB-DMAIC process at Benchmark. So if I have to use DMADV approach which one you are suggesting , I mean GB / BB level ? Also I do not know the difference between DMADV - GB & BB levels. Thanks again, Manik

Hi all, Good morning! Could you please share your thoughts on how best six sigma approach can be used or integrated to set up a Project Management Office & run it better in due course.
