When you talk about the sub-prime crisis and other abject failures due to improper analysis of data I guess I have a wildly different interpretation. All spectacular failures (even those backed by data analysis) is a function of some one some where overlooked certain aspects of the analysis (intentionally or otherwise). Data driven analysis can serve as a quick fix solution to all life's problem but I have concerns with the way we are trying to compare varying qualities of a person quantitatively. I am not sure how you can identify the "goodness" of a person. Intuition always has and will be some thing most people refers to for these matters. The persons who are responsible for Satyamizations on various capacity are capable and efficient people - on paper
