Dear All,

While doing a GB-project on lean-six-sigma for change-over time reduction, we use the concept of SMED; Can anybody share any standard template of SMED available with any of you.

Also, can anyone share some tips on the type of tools which are mostly useful in "Analyze" phase for a lean project.

Dear Sumit,

Some of the Lean tools we use to do root cause analysis in the Analyze phase are 5 Why's, Pareto analysis, PDCA, etc. Of course, you could use the standard set of Six Sigma tools to validate your root causes for a Lean Six Sigma project.

Well, yes through Pareto we will have the priortized NVAs, I'm now basically stuck up with

1. how to convert/validate the series activities into parallel, in order to save time.

2. how to arrive at a future VSM,

what's your suggestion..
